The generous people of the CCUU community sustain our spirit as we navigate through turbulent times, guided by the North Star of our shared values. You give of your time, talent, and treasure, and you consistently do so from the depths of your hearts.
This year, our approved annual budget included a plan to bridge a financial gap through a secondary, season-of-giving campaign. That season is now here. We are appealing to your generosity to aid us in reaching our $15,000 fundraising goal between November 25 and December 31.
Gifts made to this campaign will first ensure we fulfill our operational commitments for the year. With much appreciation, any surplus raised beyond operational requirements will roll into much-needed capital improvements – specifically, new video cameras for the sanctuary. This investment will greatly enhance the quality of our services for everyone, both in-person and for those attending online.
Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for your generosity that sustains this community. And thank you for being an important part of this shared voyage. With this community as the crew, we will be able to stay the course and continue to do our part in making the world a better place for all to set sail.

From Our Board President’s letter on Nov 25
The theme for this year’s fundraising campaign is “Sustaining Our Spirit.” I’m sure you would agree that Countryside Church has Spirit. You can feel it whenever you walk into the sanctuary for a Sunday service or Atherton Hall for fellowship. You can feel it when you participate in a religious exploration class or a Green Sanctuary Committee meeting, or whenever you participate in any of the many activities, meetings and events that happen here in this vibrant community.
I’m also sure you would agree that sustaining this vibrant community is very important to you, and that your life would be diminished if you didn’t have it to engage with. I strongly agree with that sentiment. Further, I’m sure you, like me, would like this community to be around for years to come – to be around for future generations of Unitarian Universalists. To be here, so that someone searching for a religious home, but not finding it in traditional religions, can walk through our doors and feel our Spirit and know almost instantly that this religious community it what they’ve been searching for. To know that they have found a religious home at last! And, for that to happen, we must sustain this community through our financial gifts.
So, I ask you to join me in sustaining this community by giving generously during our end-of-year campaign. For if we sustain this community, we Sustain our Spirit. And when we Sustain our Spirit, that unique Spirit that Countryside Church possesses, we can Create Belonging, Inspire Curiosity, and Heal Our World.
