This is an All-Church Service; young people attend worship with their family and do not have religious exploration classes. Florence Buck (1860-1925) was an Educator, Unitarian Minister and Advocate for Women, Children and Those Society Forgot. She advocated for education as the answer for all issues within both larger society and within Unitarian faith, showing compassion for those neglected by society, progressing in her field despite gender bias, as one of the first women ministers. Rev. Denise will give us a glimpse of this UU hero and the paper she presented to the Unitarian Universalist History and Heritage Society.
