Service Partner Fundraising Committee

The Service Partner Fundraising Committee

This committee is the fundraising arm of the Justice Matters Committee and supports Chalice House and our three Service Partners: Partners for Our Communities (POC), Illinois Community for Displaced Immigrants (ICDI), and Faith in Place. Currently, the committee plans two major fundraising events: Music with a Mission in the fall and the Time and Talent Auction in the spring.

Save the Date

for this year’s Music with a Mission on Saturday, November 8 at 6:30 pm. Atherton Hall transforms into a cabaret for local musicians who provide quality entertainment in support of Chalice House and our three Service Partners. We look forward to seeing you there!

 Music with a Mission

Music with a Mission is a family-friendly affair that celebrates the power of music and community as talented local artists perform to raise funds for our Service Partners. A variety of talent is featured, from solo acts to full bands who generously donate their time and talent to this event. Beer, wine, and snacks are available, and a small cover donation is suggested.

Time and Talent Auction

The Time and Talent Auction kicks off with an online silent auction and culminates in a Live Auction and dinner party. Thanks to an incredible tour de force from our church community that generously donated its time, talent, and financial resources, our 2025 event, “Hope Rises”, netted $31,000 to benefit Chalice House, our three Service Partners, and Countryside Church.

Countryside Church UU is proud to support Our Service Partners.

Chalice House is a shared project with CCUU, Illinois Community for Displaced Immigrants (ICDI), Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, a dozen other local faith organizations, and many individual supporters. Together, we provide temporary housing and hospitality to immigrants seeking legal protection and a new life in the United States in order to escape from a serious threat (e.g., violence, persecution, war) in their home country. www.ccuu.org/chalicehouse

Illinois Community for Displaced Immigrants (ICDI) is a non-profit organization that reunites families separated by the US immigration system and helps them integrate into our communities by providing direct services, clothing, housing and guidance. ICDI envisions and advocates for immigrant justice at the local, state and national levels. www.icdichicago.org

Faith in Place empowers Illinois people of all faiths and spiritualities to be leaders in caring for the Earth, advancing environmental and racial justice, and providing resources to educate, connect, and advocate for healthier communities. Faith in Place implements programs in Climate Change and Energy, Sustainable Food and Land Use, Water Preservation, Advocacy and Youth Empowerment. www.faithinplace.org

Partners for Our Community (POC) empowers people and changes lives with a vision for a community of strong citizens, healthy families, and vibrant neighborhoods. POC aligns and facilitates partnerships among multiple agencies to connect children and families to needed services and resources in education, employment, health & wellness, youth development, and adult leadership. www.poc.news
