Lisa Gilley and Mary Shelden, as co-chairs of the Religious Exploration Council, have spent some time this summer – with one another and in conversation with others – thinking about the ways we are drawn into deeper contemplation of our spiritual journeys. As we consider what’s in store for our young people in Preschool-12th Grade RE in the coming year, we’ll share a bit of the story of our own faith journeys and what has called us back, again and again, into beloved community as UUs. This service will include our annual Backpack Blessing to remind our children & youth that they have our love and support during the school year; any adults who have a backpack or briefcase they would like blessed are invited to participate.
