This will be our second annual Stone Soup Thanksgiving Service. We gather together, bringing what we have, offering what we can. Together we celebrate the miracle of gratitude and how it can change everything. Rev. Pam Rumancik and Rev. Karen Mooney will lead this service.
No RE Classes for PreK-Grade 6; young people attend worship with their families. OWL and Sr High Youth will meet as usual.
The service will include a special Bread Communion and retelling of the stone soup story about cooperating to create delicious nourishment for a struggling village. After service, we will enact our own stone soup meal in Atherton Hall. Everyone is invited to bring:
- Cut up fresh, canned, frozen vegetables / cooked beans / herbs, or
- A favorite family bread, or
- A light dessert.
Drop them at the kitchen window before going into the worship service. We’ll need help assembling and cooking the soup too. Join David in the kitchen ahead of service if you can help! Clean-up help will also be needed. Many hands make light work.
Please join us in the Sanctuary or via live stream at https://bit.ly/CCUUworshipSvc or to listen via phone, call 1-312-626-6799 and use meeting id 412 124 873, passcode 1025.
