The Democracy Action Team at CCUU works to promote a robust and well-functioning democratic government from the federal to the local level. Our work includes supporting free and fair elections, encouraging civic engagement, maintaining transparency in government, and advocating for human rights, equality, and non-discrimination.
Our recent events have been focused on delivering the One Million Rising training on strategic non-cooperation to fight authoritarianism to our members and participation in the No Kings protests.
The Justice Matters committee wants everyone to know about opportunities for participation in advocacy, training, conferences, and events to attend. To facilitate CCUU involvement the Action Teams publish a list of recommended actions in the weekly CCUU newsletter.
These suggested action items are not the official position of Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist. We share these action items to keep our congregation informed of events occurring in our local community and around the country that each individual may or may not wish to take action on. Any actions or views taken as a result of the Justice Matters Committee are the actions and views of each individual alone.
