Tending the Spark
Our new evening service, Tending the Spark: an Evening Gathering, will return on August 10th at 5pm in Atherton Hall. This is an alternative service featuring movement, chant & conversation with dinner after. There are many ways to participate in the service. You can join the musicians who plan and lead the music (contact Rev Karen), help with preparing the meal to be shared, or help with clean up after (contact Rev Pam).
Everyone is invited to bring some offering – a picture, a stone, a piece of art – to share on the altar. Many of us remove our shoes to remember that the ground we walk on is sacred. You can do all of these – or none. It is an intentional time to gather and remember our connection to the sacred wholeness of nature, to one another and the wider reality.
This service will be held on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month. All are welcome to attend. If you know of someone who doesn’t attend church but might be interested, please pass along this invitation.
