Religious Exploration News: Changes
The families, teachers, and RE Council met on Sunday, Nov. 10 to hear how the alternate Sundays were going for families. In large part, the people gathered were desirous of RE every week, including all age classes and intergenerational services (when they make sense for the kids participation). Intergen services: Ingathering/Water communion, Thanksgiving/Bread communion, Holiday Pageant, Youth service, Easter(ish) or Earth Day, Flower communion.
AND
There is a need to balance teachers wanting to be in service-and- kids needing consistency. Here is what is being proposed:
- Intergen services, one in these months: Sept/Nov/Dec/Feb/Apr/June
- All Ages(ish) RE: once a month with adults teaching about something they love. (Ex: drumming, dancing, creative writing, etc.)
- Age-specific classes: the rest of the time
We will continue to explore different ways to engage you and your families. Please let us know how we can support you in the time of change.
