Grounds Group Needs Your Help

The grounds group needs help with various jobs. There is always weeding, and we need a few people to help lay a large piece of black plastic over the southwest corner of the island. Before the plastic goes down, we need to see if some of the current vegetation can be removed. This would be weeds, volunteer trees, and roots.
Work times are flexible, so please contact Siri Laurin. We would like a few people to help with the plastic on May 25 at 10 am. People would also be welcome for a few hours that afternoon.
If anyone wants to help move an azalea, rhododendron, and a rose plant, please contact me.
Examples of what families could help with:
- Pick up trash – lots of candy wrappers make their way into our landscaping.
- Pick up branches
- Water the pots at the front entrance. I have made hanging pots and they dry out very easily. If you are available during the week to stop by and put water in those pots, it would be very much appreciated.
- Removing last year’s iris leaves and miscanthus grass.
- Moving mulch.
- Picking flowers to put in the church.
