The mission of the Transitions group is to provide a forum for mature adults to explore life transitions with a supportive community during daytime hours.
Monthly Program & Lunch ~ the 4th Thursday of the month, 10:00 am
NOTE: In November, we will meet the last Thursday (Nov 30, 2017) since the 4th Thursday is Thanksgiving Day.
All are welcome to join us! Bring a dish to share or if you prefer, your individual lunch. Feel free to bring a friend.
Program topics are chosen based on participant surveys and are often presented by group members or invited guests. Sometimes, we organize field trips of interest to the group.
There are two sub-groups that have arisen out of interests of the Transitions group members:
Memoir Makers: 2nd Friday of the month, 10 am – Noon
All are welcome to join us in classroom #1. We share writings by group members and view instructional videos to help us improve our writing. We are currently viewing The Art of Storytelling by Professor Hannah B. Harvey.
Great Books Discussion Group: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month, 10 am – Noon
We began a new book of short stories in September ~ Vital Ideas: Crime. Group members take turns leading the discussion.
