Time & Talent Auction
Countryside Church UU’s Annual Time & Talent Auction will be held on Nov 18, 2017
An evening of celebration and fundraising is planned for all of Rome (Countryside) to enjoy on the eighteenth day in the eleventh month between the hills of Palatine and Barrington. (That is Saturday the 18th of November for those of you in the 21st century). As you wander the agora, you will find a marketplace of goods and services. You will hear public speeches and a live auction. When you finally arrive at the forum you will dine on succulent food and drink nectar from the gods. And as with any public exhibition, you never know what will happen. An emperor awarding another seat in the senate? A gladiator fighting for his life? A triumphal procession of recent conquest? Come join us to find out!
This is Countryside’s annual Time and Talent Auction, our largest fundraiser to support our service partners: Faith in Place, Partners for Our Community and Interfaith Committee for Detained Immigrants. Proceeds from ticket sales are dedicated to Countryside Church.
In order for the event to be a success, we need your unique contributions ~ donations of Time and/or Talent are due Sunday, October 22. Link to the donation form can be found below ~ complete and submit to donation box at church. In the past, members and friends have donated personal services (like tutoring or pet sitting) or hand crafted items (like homemade fudge or jewelry) for the Silent auction. The Live auction items have included themed dinners, tours, tickets and vacation homes. You don’t need to attend the event to donate an item.
The Auction will be held Saturday, November 18.
